Rajouri, April 10: the Indian Army’s Ace of Spades Division, in collaboration with Madhav Netralaya, a renowned eye care NGO from Nagpur, organised a three-day free eye check-up camp for the people of Rajouri.

The camp, which drew participation from across Rajouri and adjoining areas, was led by senior ophthalmologists from Madhav Netralaya. With the support of the Indian Army, the medical team provided detailed eye examinations, distributed medicines, and recommended further treatment or surgical procedures where needed.

A total of 908 patients were examined during the camp, and 500 spectacles were distributed free of cost, significantly benefiting underprivileged individuals, especially school children and the elderly.

The initiative saw enthusiastic participation from all age groups and was lauded by locals as a much-needed effort to make healthcare more accessible in remote regions.

“This outreach is not just about medical assistance; it’s about building trust and strengthening our relationship with the people,” said an Army official. “The Indian Army remains committed to serving the people of Rajouri not just in matters of security, but also in health and welfare.”

The Ace of Spades Division continues to act as a bridge of compassion, reaffirming its dedication to community support through inclusive and impactful initiatives.
