Indian Army Organised ‘Quami Ekta Meet’ at Dharamkot

Srinagar, Feb 08: To promote peace and unity, a Quami Ekta Meet was organised by the Indian Army at Dharamkot area of Doda district on Thursday. 

As per the PRO Defence, the Nation consists of people from different cultures, religions, traditions, and ethnicity, all living together. Quami Ekta meet acts as a binder for National Integration to keep these diversities together. 

He said that the meeting aimed to analyse the communal and ethnic situation in the region and the role of various pillars of society in promoting brotherhood, National Integration, and Communal Harmony. 

A total of 45 persons from both communities attended the meeting. Speaking on the occasion, a Teacher of Government Primary School, Benzila, thanked all the participants of Dharamkot for their wholehearted participation and expressed their views on spreading the message of peace, harmony, and brotherhood in the region.

He also stated that such constructive efforts will go a long way in promoting brotherhood and communal harmony in the area.
