Indian Army Holds Lecture on Child Health Under Ayushman Bharat
Rajouri, May 20: The Indian Army conducted a lecture on child health at Parori Gujjaran village in Rajouri on Tuesday as part of the Ayushman Bharat initiative, aiming to raise awareness about child healthcare and government-led health schemes among the local population.
The session focused on the importance of timely healthcare interventions, the role of ASHA workers, and the enhancement of local health infrastructure through digital initiatives. Officials emphasized strengthening the hub-and-spoke model for delivering rural healthcare and the need for ongoing impact assessments to improve services.
The interactive event witnessed participation from 30 villagers, who engaged in discussions and appreciated the Army’s efforts in promoting community health. The lecture also highlighted the need for building capacities of grassroots health workers and promoting a culture of preventive care in rural areas.
The outreach is part of the Army’s broader effort to foster civil-military cooperation and boost trust through developmental and humanitarian activities, especially in remote and underserved regions of Jammu and Kashmir.
