Indian Army Holds Interactive Session with Panchayat Leaders in Dargaloon, Poonch
Poonch, Feb 24:: Indian Army on Monday conducted an interactive session with Panchayat leaders and influential persons from the area under the jurisdiction of Company Operating Base Dhargaloon.
Defence Spokesperson in Jammu said the session aimed to enhance cooperation between the Army and local communities to strengthen security, safety, and development in rural areas.
The meeting saw participation from local leaders of villages including Malikpur, Rehllan, Navni, Theri, and Panakha. Discussions focused on improving coordination between locals and the Army, fostering joint efforts in rural security, healthcare, and education. Community leaders were encouraged to raise awareness about national defense and the importance of grassroots-level security.
The Indian Army also emphasized the need to develop a local intelligence network to aid in maintaining peace and harmony in the region. Additionally, discussions covered the empowerment of rural skills and lifestyle improvements. Participants appreciated ongoing initiatives such as medical camps, educational lectures, resource-sharing programs, and physical training for youth, urging the Army to continue such efforts.
