Poonch, June 13: In a continued effort to empower youth from Jammu & Kashmir and prepare them for a career in the armed forces, the Indian Army conducted a mock written test under the Agniveer Recruitment Training Programme at Khanetar in Poonch district.
The initiative, aimed at preparing candidates for the upcoming Common Entrance Exam (CEE), is part of a broader outreach and training campaign launched by the Army to instill confidence, discipline, and clarity among aspiring Agniveers.
The training module includes comprehensive physical training sessions to assess basic fitness levels, followed by detailed briefings on recruitment procedures, examination patterns, and eligibility criteria. Candidates are also educated about the Agniveer scheme to dispel myths and clear common misconceptions.
According to Defence Spokesperson Lt Col Suneel Bartwal, the mock test is an important component of the training effort, ensuring that aspirants are mentally and physically ready for the selection process. “With enthusiastic participation from the local youth, this initiative is proving to be an effective platform for channelizing their energy toward nation-building and a dignified career in the Indian Army,” he said.
The programme has received an overwhelmingly positive response from the community and is seen as a crucial step in fostering inclusion and awareness about opportunities in the armed forces.
