Indian Army Conducts Medical Camp for Border Villages in Uri

Srinagar, May 26:In a strong gesture of compassion and commitment to public welfare, the Chinar Corps of the Indian Army organised a comprehensive medical camp in Uri, Baramulla, on Monday for residents affected by recent ceasefire violations.

The camp, held on May 26, catered to over 500 villagers from Nambla A, Nambla B, Nambla C, Sahora, Hathlanga, Silikot, Gharkote, Balkote, Macchikrand, Bandi, Lagama, Rajarwani, and Paran Pilan. A dedicated team comprising a medical officer and psychologist provided free consultations, treatment, mental health counselling, and awareness sessions on hygiene and preventive healthcare.

Locals expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Army for reaching out in times of need and addressing both physical and mental health concerns in these vulnerable areas.

The initiative reflects the Indian Army’s continued commitment to the welfare of the people of Jammu & Kashmir, particularly those living in forward and border areas. The Chinar Corps reiterated its resolve to uphold peace, prosperity, and security in the region, ensuring that essential services reach the remotest corners.
