Indian Army celebrates National Science Day with Children in Gurez

Bandipora, Feb 28::  The 36th battalion Rashtriya Rifles of Indian Army stationed in Gurez Wednesday organised a  programme at Kanzalwan Village to celebrate National Science Day.

An official said a special lecture and seminar was conducted on contribution by prominent Indian scientists in various fields by  Jahangir Ahmad, teacher of Izmarg village.

 The Battalion distributed pamphlets containing name of all prominent scientists along with their contribution in the field of science and technology and children were provided sufficient knowledge about the science day and the numerous new technologies coming in India, theme for this year is GLobal Science, For Global Well Being

Discussions on Indian scientists’ contribution worldwide in science and technology along with the students contribution towards a progressive Kanzalwan society were discussed during the event with an aim to spread the awareness a leaflet carrying all the information was distributed.

The teacher along with the students welcomed this initiative which provided them with a platform to discuss the advancement of science and technology worldwide and their contribution for developing a secure and progressive society. They conveyed their gratitude to the Indian Army for the gesture and promised to carry forward the thought into future.
