Indian Air Force opens applications for Agniveer Vayu

Srinagar, Jan 09: The Indian Air Force initiates recruitment for Agniveer Vayu Intake 01/2025, inviting unmarried Indian males and females residing in several states to apply online from January 17, 2024.

According to PRO Defence, Lieutenant Colonel Suneel Bartwal, this recruitment drive invites online applications from unmarried Indian male and female candidates residing in the jurisdiction of Airmen Selection Centre, Ambala, which includes Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Chandigarh (UT), Jammu & Kashmir (U/T), and Ladakh (U/T).

"Both male and female candidates, recruited through this scheme will be called Agniveer Vayu. The official notification for online applications from unmarried male and female candidates for selection test for Agniveer Vayu Intake 01/2025 under Agnipath Scheme is being shared with this press release," he said

The PRO said that the registration process for online applications for recruitment of youths both male and female as 'Agniveer v Vayu' will be starting from 1100h on 17 Jan 2024 to 2300h on 06 Feb 2024.

"It is requested that the eligible candidates (male & female) may please be encouraged and motivated at your end to register them for said examination on website https://agnipathvayu.cdac.in," he said.

Altaf Bukhari extends condolence over passing of former IAS officer Saifuddin Lone

Srinagar, Jan 9: Apni Party President, Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari, extended condolences to the family of Saifuddin Lone, a former IAS officer who passed away on Saturday at his residence in Sanat Nagar, Srinagar. He had been unwell for some time. The deceased was the son-in-law of the prominent political leader, late Khwaja Abdul Ghani Lone.

According to a statement issued to Kashmir Convener, Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari, accompanied by several senior party leaders, visited Saifuddin Lone’s family in Sanat Nagar today and conveyed his deepest condolences to them.

On this occasion, Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari met the bereaved family members and conveyed his unwavering solidarity in this time of grief.

He said, “I am deeply saddened by the demise of Saifuddin Lone Sahib, and I stand in solidarity with the bereaved in this hour of grief and sorrow. May Almighty Allah bless the departed soul in eternal peace and give strength to the bereaved to bear the pain of this irreparable loss.”

The party leaders who accompanied the party chief during this condolence visit included the party’s General Secretary Rafi Ahmad Mir, Chief Spokesperson Muntazir Mohiuddin, and District President Srinagar Noor Mohammad Sheikh.
