IDPS Bandipora organizes road race to create awareness about COVID19
Bandipora, September 23: International Delhi Public School (IDPS) Bandipora Sunday organized a cycle race with an aim to create awareness about the COVID-19 protocols and precautions to be taken with ease in the lockdown.
The race was inaugurated by Senior Superintendent of Police Rahul Malik while other senior citizens and School staff was also present on the occasion. Scores of students, local youth and civil society members participated in the road race.
The cyclists were carrying placards carrying messages regarding precautions to be taken amid COVID-19 pandemic. While maintaining the social distance, the cyclists appealed the people to be extra cautious amid ease in restrictions to prevent themselves from this deadly disease. Principal IDPS Mehfoz Aslam also participated in the race by driving his cycle alongside the students to encourage the kids and boost their morale.
Chairman IDPS Fayaz Ahmad said the aim of the program was to create awareness among masses about the COVID-19 and urge them to continue to take precautions as the virus has not gone yet and the threat continues to be there. He said people need not to lower their guard but need to be extra cautious now so that they don’t face any problems. At last participants were given token of appreciation to encourage them for future.
