HKM College Organises Seminar on “Importance of the Indian Constitution in Nation Building”

Bandipora, 08 December : The NSS Unit of HKM Degree College Bandipora, in collaboration with the Department of Political Science, organized a seminar on Monday on the theme “Importance of the Indian Constitution in Nation Building” on Monday.

An official spokesperson told Kashmir Convener that the programme was held to strengthen constitutional awareness among students and highlight the foundational role of the Constitution in guiding national progress.

He said the event commenced with introductory remarks by the Officiating Principal, Dr. Mubashir Hamid Mir, who emphasized the relevance of constitutional literacy for youth and the importance of understanding democratic values for responsible citizenship.

This was followed by an insightful and informative lecture delivered by a faculty member of the Department of Political Science, who deliberated on the significance, core values, and transformative role of the Indian Constitution in shaping the nation’s political, social, and legal framework.

The seminar was moderated by NSS Programme Officer, who conducted the proceedings efficiently and ensured active engagement throughout the session.

The seminar was marked by thoughtful discussions and meaningful student involvement, reflecting the college’s commitment to promoting constitutional values and informed citizenship.
