HK Cement Industries Leads Major Cleanliness Drive in Khrew

Pampore, September 22: In a proactive step towards promoting hygiene and environmental awareness, HK Cement Industries organized a large-scale cleanliness drive in Khrew as part of the Nationwide Swachhta Hi Seva campaign. The initiative included a special pledge ceremony, where participants vowed to actively contribute to maintaining cleanliness in their surroundings.

The campaign saw a wide range of activities conducted across Qutargan Zantrag limestone mines, local schools, religious sites, villages, and the Khrew hospital, emphasizing the importance of sanitation and civic responsibility in public and workplace spaces.

The drive witnessed enthusiastic participation from company officials, local residents, students, and staff members, all committing to the cause of a cleaner and greener community.

Speaking to Kashmir Convener, representatives of HK Cement Industries said the initiative reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to social responsibility and environmental conservation. They stressed that achieving the goals of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan requires collective participation from industries, educational institutions, and local communities.

Local residents and community leaders praised the company for actively engaging multiple sections of society and raising awareness about proper sanitation practices, describing the drive as a model for corporate-community collaboration.
