Bandipora 17 April: In Bandipora, a growing number of unemployed educated youths have raised their voices against the government teachers who are allegedly practicing in private tuition centers, in clear violation of government norms thus encroaching upon the bread and butter of educated unemployed youth of the town.

 

The Department of Education has not recruited teachers since the regularization of teachers  recruited under Rehber-e-Taleem schemes that has already led to stress and unrest among educated degree holders.

 

The unemployed youths have claimed that they have been struggling to secure a job in the teaching sector, and are dismayed to see that government teachers are flouting the rules without any fear and  badly hitting their jobs in coaching centres.

 

According to reports, many government teachers are using their official positions to secure private tutoring jobs that are strictly prohibited by the government. This has created a sense of frustration and disappointment among the unemployed youths, who feel that the government is not doing enough to create job opportunities for them.

 

"It is very disheartening to see that the government teachers, who are already employed and getting a salary, are practicing in private coaching centers and many centres are even being run by government teachers while registering under the name of some unemployed youth. This is depriving us of job opportunities, and we are left with no other option but to stay unemployed," said Mohammad Hussain, a tutor.

 

In Bandipora, some government teachers have been found to be violating government orders by teaching at private coaching centers and even using their social media platforms to advertise about their coaching centres openly without any fear of getting caught. 

 

The youngsters said this is a serious breach of trust and undermines the integrity of the education system. It is important that appropriate action is taken to ensure that these teachers are held accountable for their actions and that the education system is able to operate with fairness and transparency for all students. Failure to address this issue could lead to further erosion of public trust in the education system”.

 

Another unemployed youth added, "The government needs to take strict action against these teachers who are violating the norms. They should be made to understand that they are employed by the government and should not indulge in such activities," he said, adding “this space should be left to unemployed who can fill the gap in teaching learning process besides earning their livelihood”.

 

The reported situation in Bandipora, where government lecturers and teachers are teaching and owning recognized coaching center in violation of government orders, is a serious matter that needs to be addressed urgently, the young tutors added.

 

The issue of government teachers practicing in private coaching centers in Bandipora is a matter of grave concern, as it not only violates government norms but also deprives unemployed youths of job opportunities. The government needs to take swift action to put an end to this practice and ensure that job opportunities are created for the unemployed youths, locals said.

 

“This kind of behavior not only sets a bad precedent for the education system, but it also undermines public trust in the government's ability to enforce its own laws and regulations. The fact that unemployed youth are demanding action is a clear indication that the situation is not being taken lightly by the community,” they added.

 

The unemployed youth said the appropriate authorities should take prompt and decisive action to investigate the matter and hold those involved accountable. If the allegations are found to be true, the lecturers should face disciplinary action for violating government orders. 

 

“Additionally, steps should be taken to prevent similar situations from arising in the future by enforcing stricter regulations and monitoring the conduct of government employees. Only by taking such actions can we ensure that the education system operates with integrity and fairness for all students”.

 

Meanwhile Chief Education Officer  Bandipora, Abdul Majid Malik said they have constituted a squad that shall secretly visit these coaching centres to identify these culprits. He warned of strict action against such illegal; practice by government employees.
