Anantnag, Jan 14: Government Boys Model Higher Secondary School Doru Shahabad in Anantnag District has secured a record number of distinctions in the Sub District with an overall pass percentage of 79 per cent in the recently declared Class 10 and Class 12 examinations.
An official spokesperson of the institution said 201 students have secured distinctions adding that 331 students qualified the examinations out of a total of 419 students who appeared. Sania Tariq emerged as the overall topper by securing 494 marks out of 500, followed by Aasiyan Yousuf, who stood second with 492 marks. Bilqueesa Ayoub and Muhammad Naveed Kumar jointly secured the third position, each scoring 490 marks.
In a message issued from his office, Principal Tariq Ahmad Sheikh congratulated the students of Classes 10 and 12 for successfully clearing their annual examinations and described the results as a reflection of their hard work, perseverance and commitment to academics.
He also appreciated the efforts of teachers and acknowledged the constant support of parents, stating that their guidance played a crucial role in the students’ success.
The principal encouraged students to view this achievement as an important milestone in their academic journey and urged them to continue working with dedication to achieve higher goals in the future.
Meanwhile the civil society members have also congratulated the students and the staff of the institution for the remarkable achievement.
