Govt Boys Middle School Guzerbal Organises Quiz Competition

 

Guzerbal, August 25: Government Boys Middle School Guzerbal Monday organised a Quiz Competition for students with an aim to foster curiosity, enhance knowledge, and promote healthy competition among students.

Officials said the quiz competition was hosted by teacher Bashir Ahmad under the guidance of Headmaster Ashok Kumar. The competition featured two enthusiastic teams—Team A comprising students of Class 8th and Team B comprising students of Class 7th.

The contest was systematically divided into five rounds, with each round consisting of five well-prepared and thought-provoking questions. The quiz covered a range of topics, encouraging students to think critically and respond confidently.

From the very beginning, the competition kept the audience on the edge of their seats. Both teams performed exceptionally well, answering questions with intelligence and composure.

The lead shifted several times between Team A and Team B, making the contest highly engaging and thrilling. After an intense battle of knowledge, Team A finally secured victory with a margin of 30 points.

To recognize the talent and efforts of the students, both teams were felicitated with gifts. The Headmaster, Ashok Kumar, expressed his appreciation for the participants and underlined the significance of such events in shaping young minds. He emphasized that quiz competitions not only expand students’ knowledge but also improve their communication skills, boost self-confidence, and teach the value of teamwork and discipline.

Vice Headmaster, Azad Hussain Sheikh, also lauded the successful organization of the event and awarded a cash prize of ₹200 to Mr. Bashir Ahmad as a token of appreciation for his initiative and dedication.

Adding a touch of excitement, students shared their experiences. “We really enjoyed learning in this way. The competition made us more confident and encouraged us to study beyond textbooks,” said Aadil Ahmad, Captain of Team A. Similarly, Mariya Nazir, Captain of Team B, remarked, “Even though we didn’t win, it was a great experience. I learned a lot and will work harder next time.”

Organizing co-curricular activities like quiz competitions plays a vital role in modern education. They bridge the gap between classroom learning and practical application while also nurturing leadership qualities and critical thinking among students.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks, leaving the young learners inspired to participate in more such constructive activities in the future.
