GLTF calls on DSEK to discuss teacher’s issues

Srinagar, Jan 24: A Delegation of Jammu And Kashmir General Line Teachers Forum (JKGLTF) Tuesday visited Directorate Of School Education in Srinagar and met Director School Education Dr. Tasuduq Hussain Mir and Chief Accounts Officer (CAO) Syed Mubashira.

According to an official spokesperson of the organization, the delegation apprised the officers about the issues being faced by the teachers and students.

In an hour-long meeting with the director, the issues that were discussed among others included implementation of annual transfer drive.

The director said that the process of ATD is going on in full swing and will be implemented after the completion of the academic session.

The meeting also discussed implementation of common books in government run schools and private schools besides seeking removal of pay disparity of 2009 SSRB recruited teachers.

The GLTF also urged the DSEK to relieve the teachers from all other duties and assignments besides appealing to him to release increments for 2019 teachers.

The spokesperson further stated that the meeting discussed teacher exchange programmes while the director said that teachers from Jammu Kashmir will be sent to Gujarat for teacher exchange program as the same was discussed between JK Principal Secretary Alok Kumar and Principal Secretary of Gujarat during the laters visit to Kashmir.

The issues that were discussed with Chief Accounts Officer Syed Mubashira included release of second installment of DA arrears, timely release of budget for elementary teachers and timely release of budget for NPS teachers.

The Director School education handed over a bouquet of flowers to the delegation as a token of love.
