Srinagar, March 28: A delegation of Jammu Kashmir General Line Teachers Forum( JKGLTF) Pulwama on Tuesday accorded a grand welcome to Abdul Qayoom Nadvi on assuming charge as Chief Education Officer Pulwama.
The delegation led by District President Manzoor Ahmad Hafiz organised a welcome function in favour of the incumbent Chief Education Officer Pulwama Mr Abdul Qayoom Nadvi who assumed the charge recently.
Spokesperson said the delegation presented bouquets to formally welcome the CEO and expressed warm wishes to him.
Later the delegation interacted with the CEO and assured him full cooperation to improve teaching learning process in the district besides improving overall results.
The delegation also apprised the CEO about various issues being faced by the teaching community besides talking about various issues pertaining to the student.
Spokesperson said the main discussion was the teaching learning process and the evaluation of the students. The representatives promised the CEO that teachers will put their utmost efforts in making the teaching learning process the implementation of NEP 2020 a success.
CEO Manzoor Ahmad Hafiz in his address said that JKGLTF has always supported the steps taken by the administration for the betterment of the education sector in the UT and hoped they will continue to practice. While speaking on the occasion, the treasurer of the forum Gowher Ahmad Bhat highlighted the issues faced by the teachers of the district and sought their early redressal.
The delegation among others included Mushtaq Ahmad Ahanger District Organiser JKGLTF Pulwama, Mohd Ismail (district treasurer JKGLTF Pulwama), Bilal Ahmad Bhat (district secretary GLTF Pulwama), Imtiyaz Ahmad Shah( zonal president JKGLTF zone Shadimarg), Rayees Ahmad Bhat( zonal president zone Tahab) Nazir Ahmad Hajam (Zonal president JKGLTF zone Pulwama, Waseem Ahmad Ahanger (member JKGLTF Pulwama) and Arsheed Ahmad ( member JKGLTF Pulwama) while Gowher Ahmad Koka (member JKGLTF Shopian also attended the meeting as special guest.
