Bandipora, Jan 26:The 74th Republic Day of India was celebrated at Govt Girls Hr. Sec School Bandipora with great enthusiasm & patriotic fervor.
It was attended by all teaching and non- teaching staff members besides the physical education wing and the students of the institution.
Bashir Ahmad Mir,Vice principal of the school unfurled the flag and greeted the school fraternity and expressed his emotions of the Republic day in his speech. He acknowledged the great visionaries who penned the world’s longest written constitution and also paid homage to Dr. B. R. Ambedkar.
He said, today when we are celebrating this year’s Republic day, it is compulsory to mention that we have excelled in every field during these multiple decades. He added that from becoming a global software power to technological advancement, we have proved our mettle in every field.
Furthermore, he also throws light on recently implemented NEP 2020 document and highlighted its objectives in the Republic day message.
Thereafter, students of the school participated in various cultural programmes,read the topics and sang patriotic songs.
Later, some mementos were given to five staff members as a token of recognition for their dedicated work. Also,the certificates of appreciation were distributed among the student participants in addition to cash prize.
All the proceedings of the program was carried by Mohammad Iqbal Samoon Sr.Lec Botany and the vote of thanks was presented by Mohammad Mumtaz Ganie Master of the institution.
Meanwhile the school stood first in cultural program at District level competition at SK Stadium. The school management congratulated the students.
