Bandipora, August 15: Girls High School Plan Bandipora marked the 79th Independence Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour.
Officials said the school premises were adorned with tricolour flags, banners, and flowers, creating a festive atmosphere.
The celebration began with the unfurling of the National Flag by the Head of the Institution, Mr. Mohammad Abdullah Mir, followed by the singing of the National Anthem by the staff and students.
In his address, Mr. Mir highlighted the significance of Independence Day and urged students to uphold the values of unity, peace, and national integrity.
All staff members and students actively participated in the programme, which concluded with a vote of thanks and the distribution of sweets among the students.
The celebration reflected the school’s commitment to nurturing patriotism and moral values in young minds, making the day a memorable one for everyone present.
