General Line Teachers Forum discusses organisational strengthening in Bandipora

Bandipora, Dec 28: The Jammu and Kashmir General Line Teachers Forum, Bandipora, on Saturday held a meeting to review organisational issues, discuss challenges faced by teachers, and chalk out a future roadmap for the forum.

 

The meeting was attended by senior members, zonal representatives and active associates from across the district. Participants stressed the need to strengthen the forum at the grassroots level through better coordination among school units and the creation of a formal organisational structure at both zonal and district levels.

 

The forum decided to begin visits to all educational zones of Bandipora in the coming days to engage with teachers, identify key concerns and finalise a representative and transparent organisational framework. Members underlined that collective responsibility, discipline and a constructive approach were crucial for organisational growth and for safeguarding the professional dignity of teachers.

 

The meeting also discussed the role of the forum in contributing to the improvement of the educational environment in the district. Members said the forum would focus on initiatives aimed at enhancing academic standards, strengthening institutional functioning and ensuring better support mechanisms for teachers and students.

 

Reaffirming its commitment to unity and teamwork, the forum appealed to all members to cooperate in strengthening the collective voice of teachers in the larger interest of public education. The meeting concluded with a resolve to work with dedication and responsibility for the welfare of teachers and overall educational development in Bandipora district.
