Ajas, December 02: Government Degree College Ajas Tuesday organized a programme to celebrate “World Aids Day”
An official spokesperson said that the event was attended by all the students of college, teaching and non-teaching staff members while strictly following to COVID19 SOPs. Principal GDC Ajas Dr.Parveen Kounsar delivered a key note address while Dr. Shugufta ,Medical Officer, Block Ajas delivered a special lecture on the said topic.
She informed the audiences about the causes, preventions, treatment and other aspects of the deadly disease. The participants were made aware that they have to fight against the disease not the victim. Dr. Shagulta shed light over the social stigma that an infected person has to face in society. She informed the listeners that the disease does not spread by standing in proximity to the patient, so they should not be treated as outcasts instead they should be provided with moral support by everyone so that they do not develop a complex of inferiority.
The proceedings of the even( were conducted by Mr. Peerzada Irshad Ahmad (Assistant Professor) and presided over by the Principal .Many students also shared their ideas and opinions over the topic. The function was concluded with a vote of thanks by. Mr. Peerzada Irshad Ahmad .
