Ganderbal Police Conduct Surprise Locker Checks of Doctors and Hospital Staff
Ganderbal, Nov 21, KNT: Ganderbal Police on Friday conducted surprise inspections of lockers used by doctors and hospital staff across the district as part of an ongoing initiative to reinforce security and accountability within healthcare institutions.
Officials told the news agency Kashmir News Trust that police teams carried out the checks in coordination with hospital administrations to ensure transparency and adherence to established security protocols. The inspection drive, they said, is aimed at preventing misuse of hospital spaces, curbing illegal activities and strengthening institutional discipline.
During the operation, lockers and staff storage areas were thoroughly examined. Police also interacted with medical and paramedical staff, sensitizing them about the importance of maintaining secure workspaces, reporting suspicious behaviour and ensuring hospital premises are not misused in any form.
Ganderbal Police said such checks will continue as part of their commitment to safeguarding public institutions and maintaining a safe environment for patients, attendants and healthcare workers.
The district police urged hospital staff to cooperate fully with future inspections and adhere to security guidelines for the collective safety of the community. [KNT]
