Former Trade Union Leaders Join JK Nationalist Peoples Front

 

Srinagar, 09 December 2025: The Jammu and Kashmir Nationalist Peoples Front (JKNPF) Tuesday welcomed several prominent former trade union leaders and their supporters into the Party, marking a significant boost to the party in the valley.

 

According to a party spokesperson, those who formally joined the Party include Aziz Ahmad Parray, Ex-District President Anantnag, Central Non-Gazetted Electrical Employees Union (CNGEEU), Ghulam Ahmad Shah, Ex-District President Budgam, CNGEEU, Mohd Maqbool Pandith, Ex-District President Pulwama, CNGEEU besides other senior members and supporters of CNGEEU

 

The induction ceremony was attended by senior Party leadership, including Jasif Ahmad Khan, Party President; Basit Bashir Gagroo, Senior Vice President; Shiraz Ahmad Pandith, JKUT Youth President; and all constituency in-charges of JKUT.

 

Addressing the gathering, the Party leadership warmly welcomed the new members and appreciated their decision to join a platform committed to transparency, accountability, and public welfare. The leadership highlighted that this mass joining reflects the growing trust and confidence of citizens in the Party’s vision, mission, and commitment to effective governance.

 

Spokesperson said the event also underscored the Party’s expanding influence across the Valley, as more citizens recognize JKNPF’s efforts to address public grievances, deliver people-centric solutions, and engage actively with communities.

 

The joining of former trade union leaders and their supporters is seen as a major affirmation of the Party’s growing grassroots connect and its strong organizational outreach.

 

In response, the new members expressed confidence in the Party’s leadership and stated their intent to contribute to its mission of progressive, transparent, and responsible governance. They also emphasized the importance of collective action in addressing local and regional issues and strengthening democratic participation across Jammu and Kashmir.
