BANDIPORA, FEB 08: Government forces on Friday morning launched a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) at a village in north Kashmir's Bandipora district.
A police official told Kashmir Convener that on a tip-off about the presence of militants, troops of 14th Rashtriya Rifles (RR) and Special Operation Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir launched a joint search operation at Gamroo village in Bandipora.
He said that the CASO was launched following inputs about the presence of militants in the area, a door to door search operation was initiated. All the entry and exit points of the village have been sealed.
Search operation in the area was going when this report was being filed and no contact was established with the militants so far.
