First-Ever Exposure Visit Organised for Tulail Middle School Students at GHSS PTL
Tulail, Sept 2: In a first-of-its-kind initiative in the Tulail Valley, an exposure visit was organised on Tuesday for the students of class 7th and 8th from Middle Schools Dangithal, Zadegay and Purana Tulail to Government Higher Secondary School (HSS) PTL Gurez.
The programme aimed at familiarising middle school students with higher secondary education, its academic environment, and modern facilities while also motivating them to pursue higher studies with dedication and confidence.
As part of the visit, the students were taken on a comprehensive campus tour of Government HSS PTL Gurez where they explored classrooms, science laboratories, library, ICT lab, sports facilities, and smart classrooms. They also witnessed live demonstrations of scientific experiments in laboratories, providing them with first-hand exposure to practical learning.
Interactive sessions were conducted by subject experts who briefed the students about curriculum, co-curricular activities, and available career guidance avenues. The highlight of the programme was a motivational talk delivered by the Principal of the institution, Mr. Hashim Bhat, along with other faculty members. They encouraged students to aim higher in academics and extracurricular fields, emphasising discipline, dedication and the opportunities available in higher education.
Officials said the initiative is in line with the objectives of the National Education Policy (NEP-2020), which stresses on connecting different levels of schooling and providing students with early exposure to advanced learning environments. Teachers and students from the visiting schools described the visit as highly beneficial and inspiring, adding that such programmes bridge the gap between middle and higher secondary education in remote regions like Tulail.
The visit concluded with a spirit of motivation and curiosity among the participating students, who expressed their excitement about continuing their studies with renewed zeal.
