Leh, October 22: The final electoral rolls for the Municipal Committees of Leh and Kargil have been published, with October 1, 2026, set as the qualifying date, the Chief Electoral Officer, Ladakh, said on Thursday.
The rolls have been published by the respective Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) and are available for inspection at the offices of the EROs and Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs) of both municipal committees.
Electors, recognised political parties and other stakeholders have been advised to inspect the rolls and verify the particulars of registered electors.
Any person wishing to challenge the final publication may file an appeal before the competent authority under Rule 13 of the Municipal Election Rules, 2003, in accordance with the prescribed procedure.
The Chief Electoral Officer urged all concerned to take note of the publication and exercise their rights under the applicable rules.
