Fiction Writers’ Guild conducts  262nd session

Srinagar, July 08: A regular session of the Fiction Writers' Guild was conducted on Saturday which was presided over by a filmmaker and writer, Fayaz Dilber while Dolly Tikoo Arwal, an advisory member of Sahitiya Academy, was the chief guest.

          Three short stories, as usual, were presented by three writers in the session. The English short story 'Blood Bonds' was presented by Touseef Raza while Rehan Shajer presented her Urdu short story ' Tere Jane Ke Baad'.

          The Kashmiri short story ' Aadein Yaar' were presented by well-known broadcaster, poet, and critic Shamshad Kralwari.

          A review and feedback session on the stories was an added feature of the session.

          The session was attended by the President of the Guild, Dr. Nazir Mushtaq, Gen. Secretary Engineer Shafi Ahmad, Yousuf Shaheen, Suhail Salim, Shakeel-ur-Rehman, Latif Ahmad, Mushtaq Mehdde, Irfan Ahmad, and Dr. Neelofar Naz.

          In the presidential address, Fayaz Dilber highlighted the role of the Guild in promoting young talent. He presented the gist of all three stories, including critical appreciation and the efforts of the writers in displaying their creative capabilities.

          The General Secretary of the Guild, Engr. Shafi Ahmad, in his vote of thanks speech, appreciated the writers for making the session a success.
