Farmers beating Cold, celebrated PM KISAN Day with great enthusiasm in Bandipora
DC Bandipora Dr Owais stresses on holding more Kisan workshops for sustainable integrated farming
Bandipora, Dec 25: Graceful functions of PM KISAN were organised across Bandipora district on Friday to witness the live address of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to farmers of the country.
Despite sub-zero temperature, farmers attended the functions at 12 Zones of the district covering all CD Blocks. Special arrangements were made by the District Administration with good audio visual systems to ensure people listen to the address of the Pime Minister.
On the occasion around Rs 10 crores as PM-KISAN installment was credited by Honble PM into account of 51112 beneficiaries of different categories of farmers of the District .
Prior to Honble PMs Address , interaction session was also organised with farmers through experts of Horticulture, Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Sheep Husbandry , KVIB, KVK And Sericulture Depts. Apple producing Farmers however , raised demands of installation of e-linked Mandi in the District besides established of dry fruit Mandi in the District.
On the occasion Deputy Commissioner Dr Owais Ahmad gave patient hearing to the farmers and attended their grievances. He assured audience of taking up the matter with government and assured every possible support to the farmers to increase their crop and the income simultaneously.
DC Bandipora Dr Owais stresses on holding more Kisan workshops in near future for sustainable integrated farming. He urged the farmers to avail the benefit of various centrally sponsored schemes aimed at improving the socio-economic status of the farmers.
BDC chairpersons, ADC Bandipora , JDP Bandipore , Chief Agriculture officer , Chief Horticulture officer , District Officers of Animal and Sheep Husbandry depts , besides other officers attend the function .
