BARAMULLA, APRIL 02: Election Expenditure Observer, Arjun Lal Meena on Monday chaired a meeting to review the election preparedness and monitoring set up for the smooth conduct of Lok Sabha elections in the district, here at a meeting.
Returning Officer for Baramulla Parliamentary Constituency Dr G N Itoo briefed the Observer about the arrangements put in place for the the elections. He informed that different committees have been constituted with regard to the monitoring of election expenditure, media monitoring, randomization of EVM/VVPAT, while flying squads and surveillance teams are conducting checking in the field.
Meanwhile, the Observer informed that the contesting candidates are required to maintain accounts of expenditure incurred for electioneering from the date of filing of nominations. He said all expenditure should be meted out from a separate bank account and stressed on strict adherence to Election Commission of India.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Mohammad Ahsan Mir, DDEO, Nodal officers of various constituted teams and other concerned officers attended the meeting.
