EPFO to organize Nidhi Aapke Nikat 2.0 for Social Security Awareness: PF Commissioner
Jammu, July 25: The Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh will be conducting the "Nidhi Aapke Nikat 2.0" program on 27th July 2023, an official spokesperson said on Tuesday.
The programme will be held in association with PHD Chambers of Commerce and Industry, KRCL Reasi, District Industries Centre Anantnag, and Druk Auto Zone Leh.
P. F. Commissioner Rizwan Uddin said this outreach initiative will be held simultaneously at four different venues, aiming to raise awareness about social security provisions and facilitate information exchange among stakeholders.
He said the program is designed to sensitize employers and employees across the regions of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh about the benefits and compliance aspects under the Employees' Provident Fund & Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1952.
The one-hour sessions will cover various essential themes, including Filing Grievance & Fraud Prevention, where participants will be educated on how to file grievances on EPFiGMS and other portals like CPGRAMS. Additionally, they will be informed about digital services such as UMANG and Digi Locker.
The PF Commissioner further stated the event will also focus on fraud prevention and enlighten attendees about the rights of employees concerning their employers.
He appealed for active participation from subscribers, pensioners, establishments, employees' representatives, and industrial chambers.
He emphasized the significance of engaging with the stakeholders closely to address their concerns, provide handholding support, and seek valuable suggestions to improve EPFO services.
Giving details, spokesperson said the Nidhi Aapke Nikat 2.0 program will take place at Dogra Law College, Jammu , KRCL, Reasi, District Industries Centre, Anantnag, Druk Auto Zone, Airport Road, Leh, District Nodal Officers, Sanjeev Kumar, Jagpreet Singh Cheema, Suhail Khan, and Pawan Kumar will address the sessions at Jammu, Reasi, Anantnag, and Leh, respectively.
Chairman Rahul Sahai and Co-Chairman of PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industries, Jammu Samar Charak will also be present at the Jammu event.
EPFO, Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh have been committed to rendering enhanced social security services, such as the Employees' Pension Scheme, 1995, and the Employees' Deposit Linked Insurance Scheme, 1976, which now provides coverage up to Rupees Seven Lakhs to employees of the Union territory since November 2019.
The Nidhi Aapke Nikat 2.0 program aims to ensure broadbased participation, create awareness, and facilitate grievance redressal. Attendees will have the opportunity to discuss and seek solutions for issues related to enrollment, UAN activation, bank & Aadhaar seeding, online claim filing, e-nominations, e-sign, ECR filing, and any other relevant topic related to EPFO.
PF Commissioner further said they welcome suggestions and inputs from all stakeholders to further improve and enhance the social security benefits and services offered to the employees of the region.
