Startups in fintech, edtech, and health-tech have not only solved local challenges but also gained global recognition, cementing India’s reputation as a hub for transformative solutions.
A key highlight of this initiative is the empowerment of women entrepreneurs, with over 73,000 startups led by women directors. This inclusivity underscores the initiative’s commitment to breaking barriers and creating equal opportunities. Additionally, the creation of 16.6 lakh direct jobs across industries showcases the sector’s impact on employment generation.
Flagship schemes like the Fund of Funds for Startups (FFS) and the Startup India Seed Fund Scheme (SISFS) have ensured financial support for early-stage ventures, while sector-specific policies have driven growth in critical areas like biotechnology and renewable energy.
