Bandipora, July 31: In a remarkable display of talent and skill, young chess sensation Fatima ut Zohra of Malangam Bandipora, student of Army Goodwill School Bandipora secured yet another triumph, clinching victory in the UT Level tournament's under 11 age category.
Organized by the All Jammu and Kashmir Chess Association and hosted at the Indoor Stadium Srinagar, the tournament witnessed Fatima defeating some of the finest players to claim the top honor in her category.
Her outstanding performance has earned her a coveted spot in the National level Chess tournament, showcasing her immense potential as a rising star in the chess arena.
This is not the first time Fatima has proven her mettle on the chessboard as prior to this win, she dominated the Under-13 category of the 6th District Bandipora Chess Championship held at SK Stadium Bandipora.
Her consistent success has paved the way for her to participate in national and international chess rating tournaments, swiftly ascending through the ranks.
Expressing her elation, Fatima attributed her achievements to the unwavering support of her parents and her dedicated coach. Despite beginning her chess journey only in 2022, she has already left an indelible mark in the chess world, exhibiting a maturity and strategic prowess beyond her years.
