Budgam, Jan 09: The Drugs Control Officer (DCO), Budgam, Peerzada Tasaduq Hussain, on Friday ordered the closure of eight medical shops in the Aarath area during a routine inspection drive, officials said.

Authorities told Kashmir Convener that the owners of the shops fled the spot as soon as the inspection team arrived, raising suspicions about the operations of these establishments. In response, officials have directed that no medical shop in Aarath will be allowed to operate until all mandatory documents are thoroughly scrutinized and verified.

Officials warned that any violation of the Drugs and Cosmetics Act or other applicable laws will attract strict penal action, highlighting the seriousness of fleeing during official inspections.
