Bandipora, 30 March: An Inter-school Road Race was organised today by the Department of Youth Services and Sports Zone Quilmuqam from Village Malangam to High School Quil. Despite of heavy rainfall about 350 Athletes both Boys and Girls under the age group of 14 and 17 years took part in this Mega Event.
Nazir Ahmad Bhat ZPEO Quilmuqam and Pz. Khursheed Shaheen Nodal Officer Khelo India were also present at the starting point and flagged off the race. Abdul Rashid Khan Dysp DAR was the Chief Guest and received the Athletes at the finishing point. In his speech he highlighted the importance of games and sports. He said in order to remain physically and mentally fit one needs to work on it and it is only possible when one plays a good game. He distributed prizes among various position holders and obliged them. Headmaster HS Quilmuqam along with his staff were also present during the prize distribution ceremony.
At the end Nazir Ahmaf Bhat ZPEO Quil the Organiser of this event and Aajaz Hussain Dar PET Zone Quil thanked the Chief Guest, Guest of honour, Physical Education Staff, Officials, local residents especially the young athletes.
