Dubai-Based Educationist Haleema Sadia Visits Baitul Hilal in Srinagar

Srinagar, May 12: An internationally recognised Dubai-based educationist and sustainability advocate, Haleema Sadia, on Monday visited Baitul Hilal, a children’s home operated under the J&K Yateem Foundation, and interacted with students at its Jawahar Nagar campus in Srinagar.

She was accompanied by award-winning teacher Javaid Jawad during the visit.

According to organisers, Dr. Haleema Sadia spent time interacting with students, listening to their experiences and encouraging them to pursue education with consistency and dedication.

Addressing the students, she spoke about contemporary social challenges and said excessive focus on personal interests contributes to many of the problems faced by society. She encouraged students to remain focused on education and personal growth.

Dr. Haleema also highlighted the importance of access to education and basic resources, stating that students equipped with knowledge, determination and supportive environments can work towards achieving their goals.

During the visit, she appreciated the administration of Baitul Hilal for providing facilities and an educational environment for children residing at the institution.

She also expressed gratitude to Mohammad Iqbal Beigh and Altaf Hussain Sofi for their cooperation and support during the programme.

Officials said the interaction was aimed at motivating students and promoting awareness regarding education, social responsibility and personal development.
