Dr Ishfaq Ahmad, Dr Muzaffar Bereaved; Mother passes away

Bandipora, November 13: Raja Begum- mother of prominent doctors of Bandipora-Dr Ishfaq Ahmad and Dr Muzaffar Ahmad, passed away on Thursday morning after a brief illness. She was 72.

            Known for her piety, humility, and compassion, Raja Begum was wife of a prominent teacher of the town, popularly called Gul Sahib. The deceased was regarded as a noble and respected figure who touched many hearts through her kindness and faith. Her demise has been widely mourned across the district.

            A large number of people turned up to attend her funeral prayers at Jamia Qadeem Nebrepor locality of Bandipora town. Her Nimaz-e-Jinazah was led by Imam-e-Hai Bandipora Moulana Khursheed Anwar Naqashbandi. Several political, social, and religious leaders have expressed deep condolences over her demise, describing it as a great loss to the community. They prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul and strength to the bereaved family to bear the irreparable loss.

Meanwhile Kashmir Convener has also  expressed grief over the demise of Raja Begum. Editor in Chief Sheikh Saleem  expressed condolences with the bereaved family and prayed for peace to the departed soul.

Family sources said the congregational prayers of charrum will be held on Sunday at the ancestral graveyard at Jamia Qadeem Bandipora.
