Bandipora, Feb 18: Serious concerns have been raised over the accuracy and reliability of medical laboratories in Bandipora, as multiple reports of inconsistent test results and poor infrastructure emerge.
A recent personal investigation by a local resident revealed alarming discrepancies in Complete Blood Count (CBC) test results from different labs in the district. The patient put discrepancies of various lab reports on social media and expressed concern over the same.
Each lab provided varying reports, casting doubt on the credibility of these diagnostic centers and raising serious risks for patient health.
Apart from inconsistent results, many of these labs are reported to be operating in substandard conditions, lacking heating systems and proper arrangements for essential diagnostic equipment like analyzers. The poor infrastructure and inadequate maintenance further exacerbate concerns about the accuracy of test reports.
Residents urged the concerned authorities to conduct immediate inspections of these labs, focusing on equipment quality, maintenance standards, hygiene, and the accuracy of test reports.
