Director Horticulture Kashmir Visits Pear Orchard at Chakreshipora, Reviews Developmental Works

Bandipora, June 17: Director Horticulture Kashmir, Vikas Anand, today visited the departmental pear orchard at Chakreshipora in Bandipora district to review ongoing horticulture activities and developmental works.

 

During the visit, he inspected the orchard, assessed the condition of fruit crops and reviewed various initiatives being undertaken for the promotion of horticulture in the area. He emphasized the importance of scientific orchard management and directed officials to ensure proper maintenance of the departmental orchard.

The Director interacted with field staff and discussed measures to enhance productivity and improve the quality of horticultural produce. He reiterated the department’s commitment towards strengthening the horticulture sector and extending all possible support to growers.

Vikas Anand was accompanied by Chief Horticulture Officer Bandipora, Pawan Kumar Thakur, and Incharge Departmental Orchard Chakreshipora, Tahira-un-Jamal, along with other departmental officials.

The visiting officers also reviewed ongoing developmental works and stressed the need for their timely completion to benefit the horticulture sector in the district.
