Baramulla, Jan 21:As part of the ongoing digitisation of revenue records, the Tehsil Administration Sopore has commenced the public reading of Digitised Jamabandies (Revenue Records), beginning with village Lalad.
The exercise is being conducted under the supervision of Tehsildar Sopore, Sheikh Tariq Ahmad, with the objective of ensuring transparency, accuracy, and active public participation in the revenue record management system. During these camps, digitised land records are read out in the presence of landowners and local residents, allowing them to verify entries and raise objections, if any, on the spot.
This process is a vital component of the district’s broader initiative to digitise all revenue records and provide reliable, transparent, and citizen-friendly land record services.
The Tehsil Administration has urged landowners and residents, particularly farmers and other stakeholders, to actively participate in these camps and attend the readings to safeguard their land-related interests.
