Bandipora, Jan 16: Pradesh Congress Committee General Secretry and Former MLA Bandipora Usman Majid here on Wednesday thanked Governor Satya Pal Malik and his advisors for sanctioning a Degree college for Ajas Bandipora.
Majid said it would hugely benefit the students of the area. He said that he was continously raising the demand of establishment of Degree College for Ajas area, which Governor Satya Pal Malik & his adminstration fulfilled in the shortest span of time.
He said it was need of hour as the children had to cover long distances to go for colleges. He expressed gratitude to Governor Malik for paying keen attention towards the demand presented to him and sanctioning Govt degree college for Ajas Bandipora.
He also thanked DC Bandipora Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary for taking the issue seriously in very short time. He said that he had made a charter of demands to the state government in this connection through various Platforms earlier.
Meanwhile Former MLA Bandipora sought Governor's intervention in establishing Women’s Degree at Bandipora too.
While reiterating his demand for establishing the college for women in Bandipora, Majid urged the Governor Satya Pal Malik to fulfill the long pending demand of the people of Bandipora at an earliest, “so that like other parts of the state, female students get their separate college in Bandipora,” he added.
Majid also thanked the people of Ajas for their support and dedication. He said that I am proud of my people and I always need support of my people in every developmental initiative related to our constituency, so that we can bring change and development to our constituency in every sphere.
