DC Orders Data Accuracy, Timely e-KYC Under ICDS

Bandipora, Jan 06: The Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, Indu Kanwal Chib, today chaired a review meeting to assess the implementation of ICDS and Poshan schemes in the district.

During the meeting, Programme Officer ICDS Bandipora, Yaar Ali Khan, presented a detailed overview of services under Poshan Abhiyaan, including status of AWCs and beneficiary registration on the Poshan Tracker, identification of children and anaemic beneficiaries, Aadhaar, mobile and ABHA verification, and face recognition system (FRS) compliance. The Deputy Commissioner directed that dealing assistants be properly trained for accurate data uploading and stressed that e-KYC of AWWs and AWHs must reach zero pendency.

On the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner sought revenue village-wise data, breakup of SAM cases, anaemia details, and month-wise reporting of Community Based Events (CBEs) and Village Health Sanitation and Nutrition Day (VHSNDs).

During the meeting, the DC also reviewed infrastructure gaps and directed exploration of abandoned government buildings for conversion into Anganwadi Centres, identification of land for rented centres, and ensured heating, drinking water, toilet and electricity facilities, particularly in Aspirational Blocks Tulail and Arin.

The meeting also reviewed progress under Saksham/Balvidyalaya AWCs, Palna creches, Poshan Vatikas, PMMVY enrolment drives, food safety and quality monitoring, FSSAI licensing, and the Suposhit Gram Panchayat Abhiyan. Key convergence and departmental issues raised by PO ICDS were resolved on the spot.
