BANDIPORA, MARCH 02: District Development Commissioner Bandipora, Shahbaz Ahmad Mirza Saturday held an introductory meet with media fraternity of Bandipora district.
Media persons including Photo Journalists of various organizations interacted with the DDC and raised various issues pertaining to overall development of the district particularly regarding Healthcare, Education and establishment of Press Club and Accreditation of Journalists.
The journalists highlighted the importance of Press Club and said that its establishment will help in bridging the gaps between the public, government and the journalists and will help in curbing the menace of fake news and blackmailing being done in the name of journalism.
Establishment of Library in the town, establishment of dialysis centre and Blood Bank in District Hospital Bandipora, early completion of Patushai Grid Station and augmentation of electricity, efficient traffic regulation in the Bandipora town, establishment of Waste Management Plant and Wullar Conservation Project was also discussed in the meeting.
The Deputy Commissioner assured the journalist that the administration will take up the issues on priority and will resolve them in phased manner. While highlighting the role of the journalists, he said their cooperation and regular feedback will help the administration in improving public delivery system. He sought their cooperation in highlighting various welfare schemes so that the deserving persons are benefitted by these schemes.
