DC Bandipora inspects DH Bandipora; reviews progress
“Hospital to emerge among the best health institutions of the entire state”
BANDIPORA, February 28: Deputy Commissioner Bandipora Shahbaz Ahmad Mirza Thursday visited the under construction District Hospital Bandipora and reviewed the progress of work.
He was accompanied by Assistant Commissioner Revenue Reyaz Ahmad Beigh, Executive Engineer R&B Abdul Aziz Bhat, Executive Engineer JKPDD Housing Board Aftab Ahmed, Executive Officer Municipal Committee Bandipora and other senior officials of the district.
Mirza said that the hundred bedded hospital is being constructed at the cost of Rs 28.25 crore out of which Rs 24.50 crore have been released while Rs 3.5 Crore have also been released recently. He said an additional DPR of Rs 5 crore have also been formulated for heating and other arrangements of the hospital.
He said the construction of the hospital is in final stage as currently the technical works are taking place under strict technical supervision of the medical fraternity that include installation of machinery, oxygen supply, heating arrangements and other medical equipments.
He said by April this year all the technical works will be completed and it will emerge as one among the best health institutions in the entire state given the infrastructure, investment and best healthcare facilities.
During the inspection, he directed the officials to complete the remaining works at earliest besides installing the machinery under supervision of medical fraternity.
He directed the officials of Health Department to procure the required equipments at earliest so that the hospital can be made operational within the set timeframe. Mirza also directed for erecting fencing and beautification of the premises of the hospital.
The Deputy Commissioner later visited the site for new Bus Stand adjacent to the hospital and directed the officials to complete the works at earliest so that the bus stand can be shifted immediately. He said all required facilities should be put in place at the stand for the convenience of the passengers and the drivers.
