CRPF organises District Level Talent Hunt U-21 Football Tournament in Bandipora

Bandipora, July 12:  The District Level Talent Hunt  U-21 Football tournament being organised by the third battalion of Central Reserve Police Force at Sher-e-Kashmir Stadium Bandipora on Wednesday.

Deputy Commissioner Bandipora Dr Owais Ahmad kick started the tournament while Commanding Officer 3rd Battalion CRPF Mahendra Kumar , Superintendent of Police Lakshay Sharma, Colonel Ajay Singh Rawat, Colonel Balraj Singh, CO BSF Koshlesh Rai, CO Paulian Kep, CO CISF were also present on the occasion. The tourney was organised under Civic Action Programme 2022-23.

In his speech CO Mahendra Kumar stated that game is one of the best way to channelize youth energy into positive direction and help in character building and developing youth into a better human being.

The Chief guest and officers interacted with players of various teams and appreciated them for taking part in sports activities.

Dr Owais on the occasion appreciated CRPF for holding such youth engagement programmes. He urged the youth to actively participate in sports so that they spend their leisure time in productive activity and stay away from drug menace.

 A large number of local people of Bandipora arrived at Sher e-Kashmir stadium to grace the opening ceremony.

Opening match of the tournament was played between Ajhar FC and SCFA (Sports Council Football Academy) in which HCFA won by 5 – 4 goal. 

Apoorwa, Second in command 3 Bn. CRPF and all officers of 3 Bn. CRPF were also present in the inauguration of football tournament.
