Bandipora, 24 Mar: The Bandipora chapter of Indian National Congress on Sunday organized a day long Sarpanchs and Panchs convention at Garoora village of Bandipora district.
General Secretary Congress and former legislator Usman Majid was chief guest on the occasion while Senior Sarpanchs and Panchs of the constituency were present on the occasion.
While addressing the gathering, Usman Majeed exhorted upon the Congress Sarpanchs and Panchs to work hard for strengthening the party at grass root level and predicted that Congress will form New Government in Jammu Kashmir.
While condemning the killing of a boy in Hajin, Usman urged the people to unite against anti-national forces. He further said that the people across the country are ready to teach Bharatiya Janata Party and RSS a lesson in the upcoming elections, as the party has failed to fulfill the promises it made to the people. He appealed to the people to strengthen the party at grass-root level and to support the party in upcoming election.
Usman also condemned the arrest spree launched the state by arresting the Jamaat and JKLF workers including religious clerics.
