Civil Society Forum, Pensioners United Front Hold Introductory Meet with DC Bandipora

 

Bandipora, Aug 18: The Jammu and Kashmir Civil Society Forum (JKCSF) and Jammu and Kashmir Ladakh Pensioners United Front (JKLPUF), District Bandipora, on Monday held their first introductory meeting with the newly posted District Development Commissioner Bandipora Ms Indu kanwal.

The meeting began with the introduction of office bearers by the General Secretary, followed by remarks from JKCSF President Mr. Rafiq Ahmed Parray and JKLPUF President Mr. Ghulam Muhammad Lone, who highlighted the objectives of the joint forum. Both leaders reiterated their commitment to public welfare and assured full cooperation with the district administration in its mission of service.

The DC , in her address, discussed key concerns facing the district including drug menace, skill development, waste sanitation, and disaster management. She urged the forum to extend support in addressing these issues collectively. The meeting concluded in an atmosphere of mutual respect and resolve to work hand in hand for the betterment of society.

Later, JKLPUF leaders visited the Treasury Office Bandipora to follow up on pensioners’ grievances related to GPF, commutation, gratuity, and leave encashment. Officials assured that major issues had been resolved and pending arrears would be cleared shortly.

At the end, on the directions of State President Mr. Abdul Qayoom Wani, who could not attend personally owing to health reasons, the forum visited the residence of Moulana Rehmatullah Sahib to express condolences on the demise of his mother. On the occasion, special prayers were offered for the departed soul and for the speedy recovery of Mr. Wani.
