Pulwama, July 12: Chief Education Officer Pulwama Ab. Qayoom Nadvi on Wednesday inaugurated Sun shades cum Sun protection shelter at HSS, Arihal.
He was accompanied by Principal of HSS, Karimabad Shaista Drabu, who was also exercising her powers as DDO at HSS, Arihal.
An officials spokesperson said the Principal of HSS Karimabad and ex- DDO of HSS, Arihal has been gracious enough to give her nod and to provide physical and emotional support for the construction of the Sun shades/Sun- protection shelter on priority basis for the convenience of the children.
After the inaugural session, an awareness program under the banner of SVEEP was organised under the able guidance and stewardship of worthy CEO, Pulwama.
CEO also felicitated student toppers of 10th and 11th Classes who recently brought laurels to the institution in SSE and HSE exams respectively.
At the culmination of the programme under SVEEP, the I/C HOI & teaching staff of HSS, Arihal apprised the worthy CEO about a few issues pertaining to deficiency in subject specific staff at HSE level and the need of a PET on priority basis.
The CEO assured the school administration that the issues with regard to academics & sports would be resolved in immediate future.
