CEO Bandipora Visits Remote Schools in Arin Block to Assess Educational Standards
Bandipora, August 2 — Chief Education Officer (CEO) Bandipora conducted an extensive field visit to several remote schools in the upper reaches of Block Arin on Friday as part of an ongoing initiative by the Jammu & Kashmir School Education Department to strengthen grassroots-level education and ensure equitable learning opportunities across the district.
Accompanied by the District Development Council (DDC) Member of Arin, Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din, the CEO visited six educational institutions including High School Sumlar, Middle School Sumlar, High School Kudara, Primary School Upper Kudara, Primary School Zeban, and Primary School Puswalpati Kudara. The visit was aimed at reviewing the on-ground status of infrastructure, quality of instruction, and student engagement in these far-flung schools.
During the visit, the CEO held detailed interactions with students, teachers, and members of the local community to understand their experiences and gather feedback on academic and administrative functioning. The CEO highlighted the importance of inclusive and student-centric learning, particularly in geographically challenged areas where children often face limited access to resources.
“I am pleased to see the dedication and professionalism of our teaching staff despite the challenges of remote terrain,” the CEO remarked. “Their role is crucial in ensuring that no child is left behind in our collective pursuit of educational equity.”
Teachers were lauded for maintaining effective teaching practices under tough conditions, while the community members shared appreciation for the visit and raised various issues concerning facilities and staffing. The CEO assured that their feedback would be taken seriously and addressed in coordination with relevant authorities.
The visit is part of the broader strategy under the J&K School Education Department’s mandate to improve rural education delivery, particularly in areas with limited connectivity. The CEO reiterated that such outreach efforts will be carried out regularly to monitor educational progress, increase accountability, and enhance community participation in the education system.
Officials said the department remains committed to ensuring that every student in Bandipora—regardless of their location—has access to quality education and a supportive learning environment.
