BREAK THE PINK BLUE MYTH
Sabina Arzoo
Let toys be toys,
Gender stereotypes need to be destroyed.
Why assign pink to a girl,
And blue to a boy, let their dreams unfurl?
Don’t let colors dictate their aspirations,
He can be a chef, she can reach the constellations.
Why segregate toys in a store,
Barbie vs Superman, let kids explore.
Break the ‘Pink Barrier,’ let her dream high,
She wants to rule the blue sky.
She’s more than a mender, a supporter,
Let her cherish dreams, don’t be a reporter.
She can shape a society, build her empire,
Judge her abilities, not just her attire.
Firm or tender, it’s not just gender,
Let her aspirations and skills render.
Don’t blame strangers treating her like a toy,
When buying only Barbies was your ploy.
Love your daughters, let them dream,
Empower them to shape their own esteem.
Let them decide their destiny,
Break free from the pink-blue legacy.
