Handwara, Feb 27, 2025: Mehboobul Aalam Adbi Society Thrusday organized a book release function at Town Hall Handwara, celebrating the literary contribution of one of the youngest authors, Syed Zika Bukhari.
On the occasion her debut book, titled “Accepting the Darkness,” was formally unveiled in the presence of distinguished literary figures and dignitaries from across the region.
The event witnessed the participation of notable personalities, including Ayoub Dilbar (President, Cultural Trust Kupwara, Shabnum Tilgami (General Secretary, Adbi Markaz Kamraaz, Javid Iqbal Mawri (Vice President, Adbi Markaz Kamraaz, Zahoor Haigami, Ghulam Hassan Ajmi (President, Mehboobul Aalam Adbi Society Rajwar), Tajamul Khazir Ahgami (President, Kashyap Mir Trust Rajwar), Jawar Ramzan, Sulfi Mushtaq (District Vice President, Retired Forum Kupwara, Azim Hafeez Mir, Fayaz Najam, Gowhar Gani, Mushtaq Qaziabadi, Fayaz Fugan, Rafiq Punjabi, Tamjeed ul Islam Khan, Sheikh Shameem, Mohammad Altaf Zargar, Ghulam Rasool Banday, Syed Fazil Bukhari, Ghulam Mohideen (Ex-ZEO Rajwar), SSP Handwara Choudhary Mushtaq, Masoom Maqbool, Nasir Masroor, Rashid Mohideen, Aizaz Ahmed (DFO Langate), Socrat Gull, Mumtaz Bukhari, Abdul Rashid (Chairman, KIE Institute Soura, Srinagar), Syed Shah Hussain Bukhari, Kousar Manzoor and Abdul Rashid Tanha
Following the book release ceremony, a grand Mehfil-e-Mushaira was organized, where poets and literary figures recited their compositions, celebrating the rich cultural and literary heritage of Kashmir. Officials said the event served as a platform for promoting young talent and strengthening the literary landscape of the region, reflecting the growing interest in literature and creative expression among the youth.
