Awantipora, April 4: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today organised a mega Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Training Programme at Marriage Hall Awantipora, witnessing enthusiastic participation from party leaders and workers.

The programme was presided over by BJP State General Secretary Anwar Khan and attended by Party Spokesperson Ataf Thakur, District President Pulwama Engineer Showket Gayoor, along with several senior party leaders and office bearers.

A large number of party workers from various areas participated in the training session. During the programme, speakers emphasised the importance of strengthening the party organisation at the grassroots level, enhancing public outreach, and ensuring effective implementation of party programmes at the booth level.

The leaders stressed the need for dedicated public service and urged party workers to actively engage with the public, address local issues, and promote developmental initiatives.

The programme concluded with party workers reaffirming their commitment to strengthening the organisation at the grassroots level and working collectively for public welfare and development.

Speaking to the media on the sidelines of the event regarding the Ganderbal encounter, BJP State General Secretary Anwar Khan criticised the National Conference (NC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for raising concerns over the encounter after the family alleged it to be fake. He stated that several innocent people had lost their lives during the tenure of these parties and urged them to refrain from making such statements without introspection.

He said that instead of politicising sensitive matters, a complete and impartial inquiry should be conducted. Anwar Khan further stated that the Bharatiya Janata Party supports a comprehensive and transparent investigation so that the truth comes before the public.
